OK Mama

Purpose Statement: To share and support each other in our Orthodox community on the spiritual journey of motherhood.

Goals: Continue to welcome new members, provide opportunities for spiritual growth and fun as mothers and for our children; strengthen our relationships as mothers and encourage the relationships of our collective children to support the growth of a strong community.

Activities: Moms and kids mornings twice a month with opportunities for fellowship and fun, and perhaps a bit of spiritual growth or outreach. Mom’s night out once a month; sometimes an outing, sometimes a laid-back get-together, always a great time to get to know each other and enjoy some time together. Some highlights for us this year have been a trip to Schwallier’s Country Basket, a mom’s night out at Noco Provisions, sledding, Icon decorating, praying the Akathist to the Mother of God—Nurturer of Children, and park playdates.
